Dio Escapes Signature Houses

Dio Escapes Signature Houses are five independent residences in South Kynouria, created for guests seeking quality, privacy, and a meaningful connection to the place. Set within an olive grove on a sloping site and just 500 meters from the sea, they enjoy uninterrupted, captivating views over the open waters—an atmosphere of calm that follows the region’s natural rhythm.

The philosophy of the Signature Houses is rooted in hospitality as a way of living, rather than a service. Each residence is designed to offer space, comfort, and freedom of movement, allowing guests to experience their stay at their own pace, in direct visual and sensory contact with the landscape.

The architectural and aesthetic approach is in dialogue with the surroundings. Bright interiors, clean lines, and thoughtful functionality are complemented by private outdoor areas, courtyards, and sea-view terraces—enhancing the connection to nature and the overall sense of rest.

Discover Leonidio & South Kynouria

Leonidio stands out for its strong identity and authenticity preserved over time. Built at the base of the imposing red cliffs known as Kokkinovrachos, it is one of the most recognizable places in the region and among the most important climbing destinations in Greece, welcoming visitors from all over the world year-round.

The Dafnonas river crosses the town — dry for most seasons and revived by rainfall — leading to the fertile plain that reaches the sea and naturally shapes the landscape. Daily life follows a human rhythm, where nature, history, and culture coexist harmoniously.

Equally significant is Tyros, a seaside traditional settlement of historic Tsakonia, inhabited continuously since prehistoric times and once serving as the port of ancient Sparta. On the hill of Kastro, traces of an ancient settlement and cyclopean walls remain, while its name is linked to the sanctuary of Apollo Tyritas near the present chapel of Prophet Elias. The Tsakonian dialect, traditional costumes, and dances keep cultural continuity alive within a landscape where mountain meets sea.

Exploration here is not limited to landmarks, but to the overall feeling of the place — its routes and its relationship with the natural and cultural environment.
